I Got A New Computer

So I finally did it. After much saving of money, waiting, and research – not to mention much frustration as my laptop at best took forever to do things on low, and at worse crashed almost every night – I have the computer of my dreams.

Well, my reasonably affordable dreams. Some people may have $5000+ for a computer, but I am not one of them.

Thanks to the team at MightyApe, I now have a rig with some of the following:

It boots up fast, I can play games on ultra, the screen is way larger than my laptop, I can play games on ultra instead of low, it’s great for photoshop, and did I mention I can play games on it?

Overwatch and Dragon Age: Inquisition are amazing when not played in low with massive loading times. No more do I get kicked for “inactivity” when I’m still faced with the loading screen (actually, I’m often the first one loaded in!) nor is it a requirement of Inquisition to keep a book next to the keyboard to read during loading screens.

I’m serious. That is what I did during my first four playthroughs of Inquisition. FOUR.

Now I am almost overwhelmed by the choices of what I have to play. I now have Witcher 3, so I’ve started it. I’ve started a new playthrough of Fallout 4 with plans to finally finish it. Playthrough five of Inquisition has begun. But the game I have been playing most consistently is Rise of the Tomb Raider. I’m maybe about halfway through? Anyway, I know I’m not going to be playing the third game for a while, so I’m going to wander back to the other games mentioned above.

Especially Inquisition. Because DA4 is coming! And fingers crossed this computer will still be able to play it! And if not, that’s fine. I can switch stuff out and upgrade.

So what games do you play? Is it worth me putting up my gamer IDs for Steam and Origin etc.? And what should I be looking to play in future?
